REPORTS TO: Branch Director
EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Kids Feeding Kids Chef is responsible for overseeing meal/snack programs at Branch site. Duties include planning and preparing nutritious meals, ordering food and maintaining and producing reports as needed.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Experience in food preparation for large groups and work with menu planning necessary. Must have experience in working with youth and volunteers, special event planning, budget management and record keeping. Must be a self-starter, creative, possess maturity in judgment, be very organized, enthusiastic and goal oriented
HOURS: TBD. Hours of operation at the Club are between 2:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. during school hours and 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. during summer hours.

- Maintain statistics for Kids Feeding Kids
- Manage budget of Kids Feeding Kids program
- Plan and prepare cost effective, nutritious meals
- Order and arrange for food delivery and pickup
- Adhere to and promote state guidelines for proper food handling, food preparation and safe kitchen practices
- Plan and implement nutrition classes and cooking classes with members throughout the year.
- Upkeep and cleanliness of kitchen on a daily basis required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
These position offices at one of eight Branch sites. Must be able to climb stairs, lift at least 50 lbs, be able to stand and sit for long periods of time and be able to walk moderate distances. Occasional repetitive task required. This is a moderately stressful position that requires the candidate to be in excellent health.HOURS: TBD.
