REPORTS TO: Branch Director

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time / Exempt

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for the oversight of the administrative office of Voyageur Environmental Center, including providing a positive customer service experience to all clients, campers, user groups and volunteers, managing all Camp correspondence including invoicing, accounts receivable, camp calendar bookings, pricing, contract development and billing, maintaining all records, and providing activity specific programming for groups. Manage the Camp database (COMET/Camp Brain) and create reports as needed for Program Director, Branch Director and Boys & Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities Administration office. Supervise all food service staff and the kitchen, responsible for all kitchen health inspections from Hennepin County and manage the summer food program. Assist the Program Director in overseeing the summer camp program. This position will have on call responsibilities for assigned nights and weekends.

 

KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  1. Supervise and maintain the office/front desk area. Including the check in of all campers, volunteers and user groups.

  2. Manage all camper/user group records utilizing the COMET/Camp Brain program insuring accurate and timely information.

  3. Maintain program-related files and archives on outcome measurements and youth involvement.

  4. Create monthly and annual statistical reports.

  5. Assist in hiring, training, and managing summer camp staff.

  6. Assist in summer camp support through conducting attendance, cabin lists, camper registration, t-shirt and bus orders.

  7. Manage all volunteer records and reports.

  8. Supervise food service area including all reports required by regulatory agencies and delivery of the summer food service program.

  9. Provide outdoor education programs when needed – training will be provided.

  10. Communicate effectively with the community, user groups, staff, campers and parents.

  11. Perform other related duties as requested.

     

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Skilled and proficient with current computer software and data entry systems.

  • Experience in working with social media and website development.

  • Experience working with youth preferred.

  • Highly organized with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work with a variety of people and accomplish work through others.

  • Must be able to work independently to accomplish assigned tasks.

  • Strong writing, mathematical and communication skills.

  • Strong positive customer relations skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate detailed information systems.

  • Driver’s license with access to a vehicle is a must.
