TITLE: Program Director, V3 Center, North Minneapolis 
DEPARTMENT & LOCATION:Operations 
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Program Operations 
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full Time – Exempt 
SALARY RANGE: $62,000 – $70,000 (based on experience) 

The Boys & Girls of the Twin Cities (BGCTC) mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens." BGCTC is committed to ongoing strategic initiatives to reduce systemic racism throughout the Twin Cities and has defined ways that the Club is an activator in addressing the extreme disparities for young people in our communities. The Club is implementing a program model that directly impacts the educational achievement gap in partnership with teachers/schools and parents/guardians. 
 
PRIMARY FUNCTION: 
The Program Director for V3 Center is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing Club programs to drive measurable program outcomes, playing a key leadership role in supporting and supervising all program staff, ensuring the safety of all youth members, engaging families, and managing the site. This role collaborates with V3 Center leaders to offer a safe, equitable, holistic youth development experience.  


KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities): 

Leadership 

  • Lead a team of employees to achieve organizational objectives and goals. 

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the Club’s program implementation goals and objectives are aligned with the BGCTC’s Strategic Plan. 

  • Provide direction and coaching to all employees, volunteers & interns to maintain a high program quality, fidelity, and safety level. 

  • Lead the coordination and facilitation of all engagement events with donors, community partners, board members, volunteers, and parents. 

  • Lead the development and management of community collaborations and school partnerships to support the organization's goals and mission. 

  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and professional development plan process to build and retain a talent pool of employees. 

  • Provide leadership oversight to ensure that the Club’s operations are legally compliant with national membership requirements, MN state child safety and quality standards, 501 © 3 Nonprofit status, and all funding requirements from funders. 


Facility and Resource Management 

  • Lead the operations and management of the Club’s facility with high safety standards to meet federal and state requirements and BGCA/BGCTC child safety guidelines and training priorities. 

  • Establish and maintain solid organizational partnerships to achieve successful BGCTC funding objectives and goals. 

  • Represent the BGCTC leadership team in all essential meetings with funders, business leaders, local government leaders, and community members. 

  • Lead the management of program contracts and provide resources necessary to achieve program outcomes. 

  • Lead the budgeting, financial management, and reporting for the Club. 


Evaluation & Reporting 

  • Ensure that evaluation planning and implementation are done accurately and on time to measure progress. 

  • Ensure statistical information is tracked and collected to meet grant reporting. 

  • Lead the performance review process and improvement plan. 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: 

  • Bachelor of Arts degree in youth development, education, sociology, or related field and three (3) or more years of experience in community-based youth development; OR an Associate of Arts degree and five (5) years or more of experience directing community-based youth development programs or related programming. 

  • Knowledge of developing and administrating youth programs, staff supervision, event coordination, and community partnership. 

  • Strong partnership development and relationship management skills. 

  • Experience working with diverse populations. 

  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in writing and verbally, clearly, and effectively. 

  • Candidate must be able to use Microsoft Office and have good skills in applicable software. 

  • Knowledge to effectively leverage commonly used social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter). 

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a company-owned vehicle. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

Must be able to climb stairs, lift at least 30 - 50 lbs., be able to stand and sit for long periods, and be able to walk moderate distances. The occasional repetitive task is required. This moderately stressful position requires the candidate to be in excellent health.
