TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (exempt, with benefits)
SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000 salary range (DOQ)

The Boys & Girls of the Twin Cities (BGCTC) mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The BGCTC is committed to ongoing strategic initiatives to reduce systemic racism throughout the Twin Cities and have defined ways that the Club serves as an activator in addressing the extreme disparities for young people in the communities we serve. The Club is implementing a program model that directly impacts the educational achievement gap in partnership with teachers/schools and parents/guardians.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the VP of Program Operations this position is responsible for managing, directing, leading, and designing BGCTC research, evaluation, and data collection process. Conduct standardized and impromptu data analysis for internal and external audience; create reports and provides technical assistance to inform data driven decision making at BGCTC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervises data collection and analysis efforts for grant reporting, compliance, and program improvement purpose.
  • Maintains databases and /or other required documentation to measure quality performance and track improvement.
  • Leads the design and implementation processes for data collection and program assessments.
  • Meets regularly with program and organization leadership team to align activities and plan accordingly to improvement plans and academic goals.
  • Develops and conducts daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reporting around agency attendance and outcome metrics. Distributes reports to appropriate audiences.
  • Conducts analysis of internal data to ensure that data is relevant and readily accessible to necessary stakeholders.
  • When applicable, creates templates and management tools for reporting fiscal and grant related oversight.
  • When necessary, develops new data collection and tracking tools for membership, outcomes, and quality oversight.
  • Identifies discrepancies in data and informs appropriate departments.
  • Conducts annual research and trend analysis of database systems and software packages to ensure best practices and product knowledge is current.
  • Communicates directly with database vendors to ensure organizational needs are met.
  • Oversees the performance measurement process and ensures program staff have a clear understanding of the results framework and performance alignment.
  • Provides timely reporting to enhance agency annual goals around ADA, FOA, membership and outcomes achievement.
  • Delivers support, technical assistance, and training to Club staff around database usage, and data collection.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in youth development, education, sociology, or related field. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Candidate should have five (5) or more years of experience in evaluation of community-based youth development programs at the management level.
  • Excellent analytical analysis ability to accomplish correlation analysis and ensure proper inquiry regarding various data sets.
  • Ability to intersect various groups of data.
  • Experience mentoring youth workers in effective instruction and assessment strategies
  • Proficient technology skills in MS Office and other software/programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with others, strong leadership skills necessary.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of a variety of assessment tools.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks under pressure.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage time and projects efficiently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
General office setting. Must be able to climb stairs, lift at least 10 to 30 lbs., be able to stand and sit for long periods of time and be able to walk moderate distances. Occasional repetitive task required. Occasional travel may also be required.
